چکیده

The experiment was conducted at the research farm of ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, India during 2016–2019 to estimate crop water requirement (CWR) pineapple different growth stages and compare performance economic viability irrigation systems. Crop calculated based on consolidated weather data 14 years evapotranspiration (ETc) using Penman-Montieth equation CROPWAT 8.0 software. In experiemtal location, maximum found in month May (81 mm month-1) minimum July (25 month-1). highest April (0.67 litre day-1 plant-1). During period monsoon, withdrawn due sufficienct soil moisture situation. Performance under systems viz., surface irrigation, drip fertigation studied that plant height (76.90 cm), D leaf width (5.45 number leaves (43), weight (150.3 g) fruit (2.35 kg) were fertigation. An estimated yield 96.80 t ha-1 recorded treatment followed by (90.99 ha-1) (76.45 treatments. cost economics analysis production treatments revealed gross returns (` 14.5 lakhs), net 7.9 lakhs) B:C ratio (1.2) treatment. Adoption system west coast agro-climatic conditions Goa is helpful enhance fetch good returns.

Characterization of Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxykinase from Pineapple Leaves Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.

Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase has been partially purified from pineapple (Ananas comosus [L.]) leaves. Specific activities obtained show it to be a major activity in this tissue. Above 15 C, the respective activation energies for decarboxylation and carboxylation are 13 and 12 kcal/mol. Below 15 C, there are discontinuities in Arrhenius plots with an associated large increase in activation ...

In vitro Environmental Factors Controlling Root Morphological Traits of Pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr)

Abstract—Developing our knowledge of when pineapple roots grow can lead to improved water, fertilizer applications, and more precise culture management. This paper presents current understanding of morphological traits in pineapple roots, highlighting studies using incubation periods and various solid MS media treated with different sucrose concentrations and pH, which directly assess in vitro ...

Polysaccharide composition of unlignified cell walls of pineapple [Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.] fruit.

The polysaccharides of cell walls isolated from the fleshy, edible part of the fruit of the monocotyledon pineapple [Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.] (family Bromeliaceae) were analyzed chemically. These cell walls were derived mostly from parenchyma cells and were shown histochemically to be unlignified, but they contained ester-linked ferulic acid. The analyses indicated that the noncellulosic poly...

Micropropagation and Growth of in Vitro Pineapple (ananas Comosus L. Merr) in Iran

Although, several pineapple micropropagation protocols have already been published, significant improvement could be achieved, if the stages of in vitro culture were better defined. Our work concerned several experiments aiming at the mass production of high quality plantlets. Tissue culture experiments were therefore conducted to develop rapid multiplication procedures for Ananas comosus L. (M...

Cloning and Expression Analysis of a PISTILLATA Homologous Gene from Pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr)

PISTILLATA (PI)-like genes are crucial regulators of flowering in angiosperms. A homologue of PI, designated as AcPI (Genbank accession number HQ717796), was isolated from pineapple cultivar Comte de Paris by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The cDNA sequence of AcPI is 907 bp in length and contains an open reading frame of 59...
